Bold Tattoos and Why They Last Longer

Tattoos have gotten so advanced as time goes on, and to the point that it seems as if artists are plastering photographs directly onto shaved skin. The competition is glaring, especially to us fellow artists; its a daily struggle to keep up with the realism being put out. Do not fret! There are multitudes of ways to be seen and some definite perks to other styles. #BoldWillHold #BoldNBright are just a few hashtags surfacing Instagram feeds and placed under photos of the most beautiful and bright tattoos I have ever laid eyes on. These tattoos are made using thick liners, and saturated color, highlighted with bold white accents to make tattoos jump into your view. Realism is beautiful, and I won't waste anytime giving credit where it is clearly due. BUT. We have to understand that over time, these gorgeously detailed pieces may blend together and not have the same effect that once did the first few years they were done. What I can say, is that I PERSONALLY witnessed tattoos that were bold and saturated done over 30 years ago, still with the lines in place and some color fade. It's remarkable. Another perk to your tattoo lasting longer is the investment. Let's not complain, but sheesh tattoos are expensive. The more popular your artist, the longer you wait and the more you spend. Make every penny worth it and get something that is going to heal just as bright as it was initially and last even longer. The color is packed in tight, and the lines are laid so dark that they stay there just the same. Now I do not suggest only sticking with one style, but keep your options open! There is hundreds of styles and new ones every day. Consider something different; something that will never look bad.
